The main types of Lanyards are:
- Cord Lanyards
- An inexpensive lanyard. Ideal for displaying ID badges.
Cords are typically made from cotton, nylon or polyester
with a 3/16" diameter.
- Tube Lanyards
- Tube or Shoelace lanyards are by definition 3/8" wide.
Due to it's narrow width Imprints are typically limited
to text only.
- Ribbon or Flat Lanyards
- Lanyards made of flat cotton, nylon or polyester are
great for custom imprinting. Material widths range from
3/8" to 1.0".
- Bead lanyards
- Another inexpensive neck lanyards. Available in both
plastic and metal with the latter being the most popular.
Metal beaded material is also referred to as a ball chain.
The balls are available in a variety of diameters with
#3 or 1/8" being the most common for neck lanyards.
